Frequently Asked Questions

  • A Doula is someone who’s there to support you emotionally, physically, and practically, before, during and after birth. Unlike medical professionals I focus entirely on your comfort, confidence, and wellbeing, helping you feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way, helping reduce anxiety, support decision making and improve your overall birth experience.

  • Having continuous support from a doula can help you feel calmer, more confident, and better prepared. Research shows it can even lead to shorter labour, fewer interventions and a more positive overall birth experience. And of course, having someone you trust by your side makes a huge difference!

  • A midwife provides medical care and looks after your baby’s health and safety. A doula focuses on you, your comfort, confidence and emotional wellbeing. We work together alongside your midwife or healthcare team to make sure you feel fully supported.

  • Absolutely! I support families wherever they choose to give birth. At home, in hospital or in a birth centre. My job is to help you feel confident and supported, wherever you are.

  • Most families get in touch between 20–30 weeks of pregnancy. Booking early gives us plenty of time to get to know each other, do birth prep and make sure I’ll be available when your baby arrives.

  • The cost depends on the type of support you’d like and when your baby is due. I offer personalised birth and postnatal support for families in Surbiton, Kingston, and SW London. If you’d like, just head to my Contact page and I’ll send you my pricing guide and availability.

  • Yes! I offer a free, no pressure consultation so we can meet, chat about your pregnancy and birth plans, and see if we’re a good fit. Birth and postpartum is personal and it makes a huge difference to have someone you trust and get along with supporting you.

  • You can reach out through the Contact page, email me directly or message me on WhatsApp. I aim to reply within 24 hours and would love to chat about how I can support your birth and postnatal journey.
